What’s Your Vision?

Devotion 1

Every tear you cried and every desperate prayer you prayed has been for this moment.  God promises us that nothing is wasted. Seriously–nothing.  Everything you have faced has brought you to this moment to embrace your profound mission: to love the loveless & help God patch up the broken hearts. And instead of regretting where we’ve been, we now give thanks for where we’re going. . . All that you thought was ugly and useless will become the gift that you bring to the world. Your pain will be your platform because now your heart is softer and wiser and more unconditional.  –Mike Foster

What parts of your story do you think belong in the trash?

What parts of your story go on the platform to help others?

My vision is …

What do you dream about for your life? (use the cloud below or draw your own to write down some dreams)

What are some of the next steps you can take now?

What do you see for your life 10 years from now?

How big are your dreams?

God’s Words for This Week

Isaiah 61:1-3 – The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners… (NIV, v.1)

John 4:4-29 – Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks from the water that I will give will never be thirsty again. The water that I give will become in those who drink it a spring of water that bubbles up into eternal life. (CEB, v.13-14)

2 Corinthians 5:17-20 – So we are ambassadors for Christ, since God is making his appeal through us; we entreat you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. (NRSV, v.20)
