You probably know folks who talk about how important and central and inspired the Bible is, but then butcher it with their stilted literalism and stifling interpretations. They assume the Bible says one thing and if you just get that one thing, then you’ve read it well.
But the bible is a collection of stories that have endured thousands of years not because they mean one thing but because they contain many layers of meaning. In fact, the Bible is a library of stories about loss and anger and transcendence and worry and empires and money and fear and stress and joy and doubt and grace and healing. Why wouldn’t we look at ALL the different angles and perspectives and contexts and emotions and ideas contained in these stories?
What if the Bible has more to teach you than you ever realized? What if there are amazing, thought provoking, deeply spiritual and incredibly practical teachings right in front of you in the Bible? And what if you are missing all this because churches and pastors have failed to teach us how to read the Bible well?
Join us on Tuesdays at 6:15 pm as we open up the Bible – the way we read the bible – in a way that is beautiful, fresh, and inspired by God!
