This Is My Life
Devotions are always great, right? It is a great spiritual practice to begin or end your day with a a short, inspirational message that helps you focus on things that really matter.
Well, if you were at Hood this past Sunday, then you know the next 6 weeks are going to focus on things that matter in our lives as part of the process of coming home to God and the freedom God wants us to have. So, naturally it makes good sense to offer you some devotions to help you focus, reflect and consider things in your life that matter.
Pastor Joanie and I will provide these in hard copy during worship and via our blog and email. We hope that you will take a few minutes each evening or some time throughout the week to consider the activities in these devotions as part of the process and journey of Freeway. Some are silly. Some are challenging. All are pretty simple.
So, as we journey together, allow these devotions to help you consider the message from each Sunday and apply it to you life and you take the next step towards freedom.
Today’s Devotion:
Find 2-3 photos that represents a meaningful part of your life story. They could include family, a trip, a special event, a holiday…anything that is meaningful to you and symbolizes part of your personal story. Now, take some time to write down a few sentences or phrases about what each photo means to you. Why did you choose each photo? What do these photos say about who you are? …about your life? Spend some time sharing with God about why these are important and symbolic for you.
