Called to the Ends of the Earth
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. —Acts 1:8
Pray: Thank God for giving us the opportunity to serve others. Ask God to speak into your life new direction in serving. Prayerfully consider your participation in a mission trip. Ask God how you can be used to further the kingdom of God.
Reflect: How is God calling you to be a part of God’s mission here on earth? What are ways that you have participated in missions before? What can you do to be involved now?
Reflect & Practice: The Message version of Mark 10:45 reads: That is what the Son of Man has done: He came to serve, not to be served—and then to give away his life in exchange for many who are held hostage. What does this verse mean to you? What do you need to do differently? Who do you need to serve?
