Reflect & Practice: How much did your baptism experience change you at the time – a lot, a little? How much have you changed over the years since your baptism? Probably a lot more! How does your baptism continue to make a difference in your life in terms of belonging and becoming? How are you still becoming all that God has made you to be? What are your next steps in the journey of belief and following Christ?
Regional Assembly of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in North Carolina
Dates: April 17-19, 2020
Location: Camp Caroline
Each year, Christian Churches within the North Carolina Region of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) select delegates to attend the Regional Assembly. During this annual assembly, we practice Christian unity by working with churches across our region to make decisions relating to the mission and ministries of our combined churches.
All members of Hood Memorial Christian Church are eligible to be a delegate at the Regional Assembly. We must have approximately 3 delegates and 3 alternate delegates. Being a delegate does require that you attend the Regional Assembly during the above dates at Camp Caroline. Pastors Joanie and Jason will be attending the Regional Assembly as well. It is a great time of fellowship, music, preaching, learning through guest speakers and workshops, and working together on mission and ministry!

Leadership Launch 2020
With the anticipation of the good we will see in 2020, our Regional staff will host the first educational initiative for 2020, a Leadership Launch! This event will be held on February 1, 2020, at First Christian Church, 207 Tarboro Street, NE, Wilson, NC. We will gather over coffee at 8:00 am, and after an inspiring devotion, we will engage in-depth and hands-on learning experiences for pastors and congregational leaders. To close our time together, we will host a ‘thank you’ lunch for you. It is our deepest desire that you leave with resources that benefit your work and with a renewed sense of unity among the Region of NC.
Each pastor has been invited to bring up to five members of our church leadership team with us to the Leadership Launch. This educational and inspirational event is complimentary, and there is no registration fee.
