Spirit of the Living God

“If you love me, you will keep my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, to be with you forever. This is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him because he abides with you, and he will be in you.“

What is your image of the Holy Spirit? When you close your eyes, what do you see? How does the Holy Spirit connect us to God, the Father and God, the Son? These are questions we considered on Pentecost. If you missed Sunday’s service, you can watch it here:

This Sunday we will have a Fellowship Meal after worship.  The ladies will be serving pizza and drinks.  Any donations will go towards future fellowship times.  DESSERTS WILL BE FOR SALE. THE YOUTH WILL BE MAKING DESSERTS.  PLEASE BRING MONEY TO PURCHASE YOUR DESSERT.  THEY WILL BE RAISING MONEY FOR THE MISSION TRIP IN AUGUST.

Tuesday, June 11 – Volunteer to Serve at the Dunn United Ministerial Association (DUMA) Food Pantry from 8:30 am – 2:00 pm
Wednesday, June 12 – Volunteer or sign up to give blood at the Red Cross Blood Drive in the Fellowship Hall from 1:00 – 6:00 pm
Friday, June 14 – Fundraiser & Movie Night at Sweet Frogs in Dunn, NC. We will show the Disney movie “Wish”. If you come and get frozen yogurt anytime after 5:00, a portion of the sales goes to our Mission trip.
