Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about Hood Memorial Christian Church in Dunn, NC. We want you to know that we believe God welcomes everyone…and so do we!
Our church (The Hood as many of us call it) is becoming one of the more unique faith communities in Harnett County where
- there are no tests of faith,
- children are leaders,
- Christ is the center,
- women and men are ministers, and
- diversity is valued.
We are part of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) who have been working across denominational lines since the 1800s to bring about Christian unity. One of our mottos is:
“In essentials, unity; in non-essentials, liberty; in all things, charity.”
Christ is the essential! And there are lots of non-essentials that we don’t always agree on. In fact, we believe that our differences are valuable as we are all part of the Body of Christ.
We would love to get to know you and support you in the journey of life and faith that makes you uniquely you! We hope you will drop by on a Sunday morning to get to know us better

How do I get there?

Where should I park?
Our parking lot is right beside the church off of Cumberland Street. There is additional overflow parking available across Clinton Ave (Hwy 301).
What should I wear?
Our church has a “come as you are” atmosphere. You will see some folks dressed up and some folks dressed casual.
What time should I arrive?
Worship begins at 10:30 am. Come a little early and grab a cup of coffee at the Main Entrance. Come right at 10:30 am. Or join us whenever you can between 10:30-11:30 am. If you arrive after 10:35, please come to the Sanctuary Entrance from the sidewalk off Cumberland St (we close the Main Entrance at 10:35 for the safety of our children’s class during worship).
