Affirming Our Mission & Vision

Our mission is to… serve Christ through mutually supporting one another & embodying God’s grace and love for all We envision… a diverse church led by Christ to open its doors in love and service to all This coming Sunday, we will have a church-wide conference meeting directly after worship to vote on several items. There Are Always Exceptions

Some folks really like rules.  I am not really one of them.  But there are some folks who see rules as a guide or compass that makes life straightforward and easy enough to manage.  The basic idea is that if you follow the rules, you will be safe and have opportunity for a good life. The psalmist begins the 15th Psalm with the question “O Lord, who may abide in your tent? Who may dwell on your holy hill?” Essentially, “Who can live in God’s sanctuary?” Before reading the responses in v. 2-5, wouldn’t it seem that our lectionary reading from Micah is already a very poignant answer to the question.
