A Prayer for God’s Children

“I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I hope; my soul waits for the Lord more than those who watch for the morning, more than those who watch for the morning. ” – Psalm 130: 5-6

Taking a deep breath…
There is a new beginning
the window has opened
the sun shines bright with opportunity,
a second chance,
hope sings her beautiful love song.

Exhaling…
The sun begins to be hidden by the clouds
the shadows rise quickly
fears drown out the hope  
the joyful sounds have been replaced 
with the sounds of worry

Taking  deep breath in…
Oh, Lord, pull me to the light 
again
lift this heavy weight 
transform my fears of these shadows to fear of the Lord

Exhaling. . .Grant us strength. Grant us wisdom. Grant us your peace. Oh Lord, be our hope in mighty, mighty ways.
