May 24, 2020 Worship

We are excited about worship this Sunday. We will worship at 10:15 AM.  This week we will be using our new lot, next to our parking lot.  A crew came in and cleared the area for us this week and it looks great! There are several ways you can join us. Please choose the option that works best for you and your family.

1. Drive-in.  Enter from Cumberland Street, the larger entrance closest to the Old Red Barn Building.  There will be someone there to direct you where to park.
2. Outdoors.  Bring a chair, a pop-up tent, umbrella, or blanket and find a spot in the new grass lot near the gazebo.  There will be a few chairs already set up 6-7 feet apart.  Come a little early to set up your chairs and space. Since it may be warmer outdoors, feel free to bring drinks and snacks for your family as well.  Masks are encouraged outside, but not required.
3. Facebook Live
4. Free Conference Call (Call in 563-999-1222 or go to join.freeconferencecall.com/hoodchurch) We did have difficulties with the Conference Call last Sunday and we apologize.  Our devices got overheated and cut off.  We hope we have everything worked out for this week.

A few other reminders:

  • Bring your own communion elements with you.  Feel free to be creative.
  • Below, you will find an order of worship.  Feel free to copy this and bring with you or you can pull it up on your device during worship to follow along.
  • Families with children, we encourage you to bring activities for your children.  (Legos or blocks that can build based on ideas or songs they hear, musical instruments to play along with songs, coloring sheets, other favorite items). Feel free to bring your own snacks, too.
  • If you are comfortable joining us outside, please remember to remain 6 foot from others, for the safety of all.

The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name,
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those trespass against us
Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil
For Thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Lyrics: To God Be the Glory (lyrics by Fanny Crosby)
To God be the glory, great things he hath done
So loved he the world that he gave us his son
Who yielded his life an atonement for sin
And opened the life gate that all may go in

I give my life to tell Your story
Let every breath bring your glory God
It’s all for You
To know Your love is all I’m after
So fill this heart, it’s Yours forever God
It’s all for you.

Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord, Let the earth hear His voice.
Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord, let the people rejoice.
O come to the Father through Jesus the Son
And give him the glory, great things He has done

Great things He has taught us, great things He has done
And great our rejoicing through Jesus, the Son
But purer and higher and greater will be
Our wonder, our transport, when Jesus we see

I give my life to tell Your story
Let every breath bring your glory God
It’s all for You
To know Your love is all I’m after
So fill this heart, it’s Yours forever God
It’s all for you.

Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord, Let the earth hear His voice.
Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord, let the people rejoice.
O come to the Father through Jesus the Son
And give him the glory, great things He has done

Lyrics: This Little Light of Mine (Spritual)
This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.
This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.
This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine, let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.

Lyrics: We are a Family (Music and Lyrics by Jan Rush)
We are a family, the family of Jesus
People on mission, a mission possible
Salt of the earth, light of the world, servants of love.
