Fulfill, not abolish

Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have come not to abolish but to fulfill.

Matthew 5:17

Yesterday, Pastor Jason reminded us to look at the scripture one step at the time. Instructions and laws in the Old Testament for the purpose of getting people from one practice to another practice that encouraged reconciliation between people. Jesus comes later and gives us instructions about how to take that a step further. Scripture helps us get to our goal of reconciliation: one step at a time. Jason reminds us that we can’t get from A to Z all at once. Laws were made to encourage the first step. Jesus came and gave us the next steps to continue reconciliation with God’s people and with God. To hear more, click on the link below.
