Preparations. . .
. . .I will be with you. -Isaiah 43:2
We hope you have all the water and bread you may need. We hope you have stored up lots of peanut butter and jelly. We hope you have your batteries and candles ready. We hope you have a plan for communication if the power goes out. We hope you have tied down all swings and outdoor furniture. We know each of you have your own checklists. We encourage and invite you to check out this website with last minute tips and hints about preparing for hurricanes. https://www.ready.gov/hurricanes
The truth is we have no idea what the next 24 -48 hours will hold. We pray for safety. We pray our fears will be calmed by God’s presence and peace. We pray for the storms to pass.
Stay tuned to one call and other means of communication about services on Sunday.
The next time we gather for worship, we will begin our new series: Back in the Day. We will be looking at expressions such as “Back in the day, we walked to school 6 miles everyday barefoot uphill both ways.”
We want you to share your favorite “back in the day” expressions and reflections. How would you finish this statement…”Back in the day, we…”
Send us your thoughts. See us your statements. Your reflections will help guide our worship over the next few weeks. We need your participation. You may text your thoughts to Pastor Jason or email them to firstname.lastname@example.org.
